Our Mission
Hotspot is a math extension class. While scholars are in the lab they are independently working on math problems using different computer programs. Scholars get a chance to see math in a different way and practice their math skills. The programs are adaptive to all our scholars to ensure that everyone is given a chance to close the achievement gap as well as to prepare for college.

Hello!
My name is Mrs. DeSha and I am the Hot Spot facilitator at Walzem (Academy extention). I am priviledged to be apart of the IDEA team in working towards College for All. The adaptive programs that your scholar will be using in the Hot Spot will help us work towards this goal. The programs we use in the Hot Spot reinforce math instruction for your child.
